Constructed using the concentric ring method from poplar wood based on the real hoplite shield found in the Vatican museum. Face of shield is wet formed and stretched with 2-3oz grade A veg tanned leather. Inside of shield is lined with black felt. Hand painted with gold and black Angelus paint depicting a scorpion with geometric edge design and sealed with a waterproof satin sealer.
